MV Majestic Explorer dive boat review
UPDATE JUNE 2019
We had this update thanks to Ben from Undercurrent.org
“During the last day of May, the liveaboard vessel, Majestic Explorer (formerly the MN Galápagos Majestic) and part of the Explorer Ventures fleet, sank near the island of Santiago, between Isla Isabella and Isla Santa Crus, after running aground not far from where the Galápagos Aggressor I ran aground in 2013. The hull was breached in the bow area. All 26 passengers and crew were rescued before the ship capsized and sank with 2 tons of fuel on board. No injuries were reported. If you have a booking you should contact Explorer Ventures immediately. info@explorerventures.com “

SUPERB liveaboard!!! March 2019. The best i’ve been on in the last 6 years!
Fantastic crew, very warm, smiling and laughing. Crew is always making sure everything is perfect for everyone! So helpful and kind. Food is simply AMAZING, it was truly outstanding – again the best i’ve ever seen on a liveaboard, everyone was delighted! The chefs were great also in accommodating my dietary needs, working extra to prepare special dishes
I noticed that the crew paid attention to details, and took time to make the experience impeccable and fun. Very warm atmosphere on the boat, within the crew members, as well as the divers. Such a fun time with everyone!
Dive masters were very sweet and kind, taking time to give extra help whenever needed. They are visibly passionate about diving, as well as taking time to talk about the Galapagos islands at length, including the ecology of the area, currents, marine life, wildlife found on land as well.
Altogether delightful! …it makes for a trip of a lifetime!!!
