Compare the cabin, itinerary and full trip cost before booking.
Explorer Ventures offers diving safari cruises to the Galapagos aboard Humboldt Explorer. At 34 metres long, this yacht gives divers access to remote sites while retaining the atmosphere of a 16-guest vessel. The operator reports a complete renovation in March 2023. Compare its route and total cost with sister vessel Tiburon Explorer rather than treating the two as identical.
Find your cabin
| Cabin choice | Layout | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Cabins 3 and 4 | Forward on the lower deck, with fixed twin beds. | Choose these only if a double bed is not required. |
| Other staterooms | Twin beds convertible to a queen. | Main or lower deck; confirm your cabin number. |
| All eight cabins | Air-conditioning, private bathroom, television and ocean view. | Ask about stairs, windows and private-occupancy cost. |
Found a cabin you like? Ask for its number, bed layout and deck location, and check how many stairs you’ll use. If you’re travelling solo, make sure the sharing arrangement works for you before you book.
Unwind between dives
Back on the main deck you will find an air-conditioned salon and dining area. Relax here or chat with fellow guests and exchange diving stories. The vessel also features a partially covered sun deck with seating and a hot tub. Food combines local and international dishes, with snacks offered between dives.

Diving and itinerary
The roomy dive deck has a camera table and charging station, individual equipment storage and separate rinse bins. Diving uses two large pangas, allowing the guides to choose the entry and pickup points. Nitrox is available for certified divers at extra cost. Choose between 8-day/7-night and selected 11-day/10-night trips; northern sites and the final route remain subject to conditions and the booked itinerary.
Is this trip right for you?
Explorer Ventures requires at least 60 logged dives and a dive within the six months before travel; more than 100 dives are strongly recommended. Confirm certification, dive insurance, computer and surface-signalling requirements before paying. See the operator FAQ and mandatory rules.
Discuss cold-water comfort, currents, tender entries, rental sizes and any non-diver activities before booking. For seasonal planning, use our Galapagos diving guide. No yacht can guarantee a particular animal encounter.

Plan your trip: 2026 prices and extras
Cost comparison: use the shared 7-night budget and extras breakdown to compare Nitrox, taxes and compulsory fees on the same basis. Figures are planning references, not a live quote.
Published July 2026–June 2027 reference: USD 6,395 per person sharing for 7 nights, or USD 8,995 for 10 nights.
For 7 nights, adding USD 150 fuel, USD 200 park entry and USD 20 transit card gives a USD 6,765 partial subtotal. Chamber support and other applicable charges still need confirmation. Nitrox is USD 150 for a week; fuel and Nitrox are each USD 220 for 10 nights. Flights, hotels, insurance, rentals and tips are additional.
The package includes accommodation, scheduled dives, air fills, tanks and weights, selected drinks, specified transfers and meals except the final dinner ashore. Guaranteed private occupancy carries an 80% supplement. Compare the final invoice, not just the cruise fare.
All reference fares are subject to reconfirmation. Check the currency, per-person basis, cabin, taxes, deposit and cancellation conditions on the actual quote.
Flights, transfers and time aboard
Plan the journey with our Galapagos travel guide and check seasonal conditions in the Galapagos diving guide. Confirm the arrival and departure airports for your exact itinerary before buying flights, especially on longer cruises.
The package lists Baltra (GPS) airport transfers for same-day arrivals and departures. Stay in mainland Ecuador before your island flight and confirm the operator’s flight and pickup instructions. The standard package excludes the final evening dinner in town, so keep a little cash available.
