Le Baron Noir’s on-board facilities
The main and upper deck is where you’ll find all the communal areas. Indeed, the galley, the salon and dining room are spreading over two decks. First, the indoor salon on the main deck offers ample space, cozy seating and a full entertainment system. You will find a library of movies, books and games in the living room as well as a fully stocked bar.
Secondly, the main dining room displays and open air layout and is located on the upper deck. There’s also a small indoor dining room in case of bad weather. Moreover, you’ll find and outdoor lounge next to the dining area. It’s indeed the perfect place to sit back and enjoy the view of either Sudan (Red Sea) or Djibouti. Finally, you will also find mattresses and sunny spots where you can soak up in the sun rays.
Vessel Layout
The Baron Noir is fully equipped with all the latest navigation and safety features including a GPS, Sounder, Radar, Mobile and satellite phone, etc. Also, the engine allows a cruising speed of about 9 knots.
Scuba Diving with the Baron Noir
The Sudan side of the Red Sea is much less explored and indeed a lot more pristine. As for Djibouti, it’s definitely one of the best spot to catch sight of the gentle giants. Indeed, the Whale Sharks are known to pass by between November and January. There’s also faults and wrecks to explore.
Furthermore, the Baron Noir’s dive team is composed of 4 dive instructors, dive masters and/or nitrox instructor. The dive deck features everything you might need. Nitrox is available and a level 2 or advanced is required on most cruises, please inquire at booking.
