MV Empress II dive boat review
The Empress II is a liveaboard, mostly specialized in technical diving, which sails the waters of Indonesia. The ship also offers recreational diving trips. The 28 meters dive vessel has been taken over by the ScubaFroggy fleet and will operate and uphold it’s reputation.

Boat Cabins & Layout
On a regular, individually booked trip, the vessel will welcome up to 9 guests on-board while on a chartered trip, it will allow up to 13 guests. There are 5 cabins, all located on the lower deck and each features either a double bed, two twin beds or a combination of both. Needless to say, this dive boat allows lots of flexibility in term of accommodations.

Moreover, the cabins all come with air-conditioning and most of them have shared bathrooms. Indeed, only the cabin “D”, which is pictures below, has an en-suite bathroom. The cabins also include fans, plenty of cabinets storage, reading lamps, the pillows and bedding as well as 2 towels per diver.

Empress’s on-board facilities
The Empress offers and appreciable amount of space where guests can lounge between dives and in the evening. Indeed, the main deck is home to a large dining room, the kitchen and also the living room. On the technical side, the main deck is also where you can find the lift and the decompression chamber.

Furthermore, there are two sundecks on the outside and both are quite big and comfortable. Indeed, the very top one features mats and bean bags with an open-sky area while the upper deck’s lounge is covered.

Vessel Layout
The steel hulled vessel is fully equipped for technical diving and features a great layout in term of accommodation. Indeed, the interior’s finish is all in newer teak and iron woods and the furniture, inside and out, is new from the ScubaFroggy fleet’s take over in 2016.

Scuba Diving with the Empress
The dive vessel is fully equipped for technical diving so if you take either a tech dive trip or a simple recreational scuba diving cruise with them you’ve got it all covered! Indeed, the vessel is more than ready for anything with all the latest and best safety and navigation amenities. There’s a 5 BAR decompression chamber right on board, first aid necessities, compressors, NITROX, Trimix, diving lifts, lifeboats, winches, etc.

Menjangan Island is famous worldwide for Wall diving with small caverns to explore. The reef and Coral are also great. A very nice wooden wreck from the 19th century: Anker Wreck.
Nusa Penida / Nusa Lembongan
One of the best spots in the world to see the rare Mola Mola and the graceful Manta Rays! Big fishes and action with lots of sharks. Very good Visibility and stunning Coral.
Candidasa
It is all about action! Big pelagic fishes, hunting action in the current, and many Sharks! Regular seeing of Hammerhead Sharks and Mola Mola!
Bali
Diving in Bali is simply amazing as you will see both an incredible array of marine life and plenty of wrecks. Indeed, Bali's underwater world will expose you to meet interesting critters, fishes of all sizes and mantas rays among others! Plus, scuba diving in Bali means being all in for stunning underwater visibility and great opportunities for drift diving. !
