Diving, itinerary and transfers
The operator’s sample central route runs from Malé via South Malé, Vaavu and Ari back to Malé. Longer trips cover more atolls; northern departures are a different choice from Deep South trips.
Seven-night Best of Maldives outline. North Ari and Rasdhoo stops are options within the published programme; the captain adapts the route to conditions.
Text itinerary: Malé / North Malé → South Malé area → Vaavu / Alimatha → South Ari / Maamigili → Maaya Thila / North Ari → Rasdhoo → Malé / North Malé. The order is illustrative, not a confirmed departure programme. Confirm the boarding point, direction and daily stops with the operator.
The lines connect reference areas; they are not safe sailing tracks. The captain selects channels and sites according to conditions. No wildlife encounter or individual stop is guaranteed.
Dive sites and geographic precision
- Maaya Thila / North Ari: Maaya Thila reef reference in North Ari. Whether it is included depends on the chosen departure.
- Vaavu / Alimatha: Alimatha island reference for the surrounding night-diving area; not an exact dive-entry position.

Travelling with a non-diver on Horizon 3?
Confirm a non-diving place directly for Horizon 3 and the chosen departure. A current boat-specific acceptance policy and companion fare have not been established here. Ask whether the booking is a shared cruise berth or a whole-yacht charter, and obtain the price for your dates, duration, cabin and occupancy, including taxes and transfers. Skipping dives does not by itself establish a discount.
Request a practical programme for the companion: which guided snorkeling sessions or island excursions are actually planned, whether equipment and guidance are included, and which activities cost extra. Confirm age or supervision conditions where relevant. A diving or surfing charter may leave a non-participating guest aboard for substantial periods; do not assume that a tender, sundeck or an old excursion description guarantees daily outings.

Budget and inclusions
Compare a dated quote for your actual departure and cabin, including currency, nights and occupancy. Ask for the compulsory charges, transfers and diving package as a written total, then add travel, rental equipment and optional spending. Confirm the boarding point and final dive time before arranging flights.

Horizon 3 booking FAQ
Was Horizon 3 refurbished in 2025 or 2026?
The listing gives both dates. Ask which work affected your cabin and request recent photographs.
Is Nitrox always free?
Some departures advertise a promotion; others list a charge. Check your exact sailing rather than assuming a fleet-wide inclusion.
Which cabin works for friends?
Request separate beds and a numbered allocation. A Deluxe label does not establish whether beds can be separated.
What compulsory extras should I budget for?
The partner lists environment tax, fuel, service and park charges. Ask for their combined total for your actual trip length.
