Koh Dok Mai is an excellent dive site and may just be the best spot around Phuket Island for macro photography. The marine life is spectacular around the wall. This spot is very good for underwater macro photography with good chances to spot a yellow tiger-tail Seahorse, ornate and harlequin ghost pipefish. On the sandy bottom you may find a Leopard Shark sleeping, or maybe even a grey reef Shark or Bamboo Shark. The coral is superb and very colorful. Maximum depth is 33 meters deep. Koh Dok Mai is located 10km west of Hin Musang in a marine reserve.
You can dive Koh Dok Mai all year long. Access: from the Shore. See the map of Koh Dok Mai on the right for the exact location.

Phuket
Access to the best diving areas of the Andaman Sea and starting point of many liveaboards to Similans and Surin Islands! Good place for cheap diving courses.
Very good for macro life and photography.
