MV Stingray dive boat review
The 31 meters MV Stingray is a liveaboard sailing the Maldives. Built in 2001, the wooden vessel offers charming and comfortable accommodations for a great price. Indeed, it’s one of the longest running budget diving vessel in the Maldivian archipelago.

Boat Cabins & Layout
The Stingray welcomes a maximum of 19 guests in beautiful and air-conditioned cabins. Indeed, the 9 cabins are either twin-shared or featuring a double bed. Plus, they all come with a private en-suite bathroom with hot water shower. This might be a budget boat but it sure is a comfortable one.

MV Stingray’s on-board facilities
The wooden diving vessel features plenty of space for the 19 divers and it’s crew of 9. The interiors are air-conditioned and include a spacious dining room as well as a cozy salon with a bar. The dining room boasts enough space for every one to enjoy their freshly cooked meals. Also, the salon offers a complete entertainment Hi-Fi system.

Furthermore, if you step outside, there’s also plenty of space for you to enjoy the exotic views of the Maldives and take it all in. The sun chaser will love the sundeck, with lounging chairs and mats available. There’s also a partially covered outdoor lounge area on the main deck which is perfect to breathe some fresh Maldivian air and mingle with fellow divers.

The dive vessel was built in 2001 and all the navigation and safety technologies on-board were updated through the years. The MV Stingray is brought to you by the Maldives Boat Club, which also features the MV Adora, which is newer and also a lot bigger.

Scuba Diving with the MV Stingray
The Maldives is known to be a picture-perfect paradise but also a scuba diver’s playground. A liveaboard dive cruise with the Stingray will offer you the possibility of vacationing while discovering the underwater marvels of the Maldives. The dive guides are experienced and will assists your group through a great diving experience. The vessel offers rental equipment, diving courses, nitrox certification and much more. Indeed, Nitrox is available on-board for those who are certified.
The diving operation is launched from the Dhoni almost all the time. Of course, the boat’s dive platform is roomy and features a ladder to make it easy to come in and out of the water. Finally, there’s a camera table and charging station available on the deck for photographers.
