The Ikan Biru is a small Indonesian phinisi liveaboard offering diving cruises to explore Komodo Island. Newly renovated, the 17 meters vessel is an atypical cruise that offers you a friendly and intimate experience. This cruise, designed for Advanced Open Water divers, will make you discover the most beautiful diving spots in Komodo.
The cabins
The Ikan Biru liveaboard stands out from other cruises since it does not feature any private rooms. Indeed, the common area where the meals are served during the day turns into a sleeping quarter during the night. Located on the top deck and welcoming 8 guests, the sleeping quarters offer a lovely ambiance as you can star gaze while falling asleep.
The ship features 2 shared bathrooms, hot showers, and multiple changing places. Finally, the sleeping quarter offers a stunning view of the ocean which is perfect to admire the sunrise and the sunset.

Ikan Biru’s On-board Facilities
To enjoy your free time between the dives, the upper deck is the perfect place to relax. This open area offers a warm and friendly atmosphere which is perfect to relax and chat with other divers. In the evening, the upper deck turns into a dinner place where everyone reunites to have a good meal. The liveaboard has a good chef who prepares fresh meals every day. Also, by the kitchen, you will find everything you need such as soft drinks, snacks, water, and even some fresh bread made by the chef in the morning. Moreover, the ship features charging stations and a camera station which is perfect for the underwater photographers on board!
Scuba Diving with the Ikan Biru
The Ikan Biru liveaboard offers a unique experience with its “hop-on, hop-off” concept. Indeed, the cruise gives you the choice to stay between 3 and 12 nights on the boat and lets you get off whenever you want. The cruise has two smaller boats that will take you back to the island when you are ready. This allows you to take full advantage of the most beautiful diving spots in Indonesia in addition to giving you the freedom to leave whenever you want.
Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to dive up to 3 times per day with the Ikan Biru, allowing you to explore a lot of the best diving Indonesia has to offer. This cruise is focused on remaining budget friendly while offering an amazing experience around the best diving sites of Komodo. ***One important thing to note though is that this liveaboard has a minimum requirement of advanced open-water diving certification. That said, should you be an open-water diver wanting to take his advanced training, you can do so on the Ikan Biru.

Padang Bai

Menjangan Island
Menjangan Island is famous worldwide for Wall diving with small caverns to explore. The reef and Coral are also great. A very nice wooden wreck from the 19th century: Anker Wreck.
Nusa Penida / Nusa Lembongan
One of the best spots in the world to see the rare Mola Mola and the graceful Manta Rays! Big fishes and action with lots of sharks. Very good Visibility and stunning Coral.
Candidasa
It is all about action! Big pelagic fishes, hunting action in the current, and many Sharks! Regular seeing of Hammerhead Sharks and Mola Mola!
Bali
Diving in Bali is simply amazing as you will see both an incredible array of marine life and plenty of wrecks. Indeed, Bali's underwater world will expose you to meet interesting critters, fishes of all sizes and mantas rays among others! Plus, scuba diving in Bali means being all in for stunning underwater visibility and great opportunities for drift diving. !
