6 liveaboard reviews for “Calico Jack”

  1. This is the most irresponsible diving company I have ever had the displeasure to deal with. I have held a booking on a diving trip with them which THEY PROMISED TO HOLD FOR 7 DAYS before payment and THEY JUST SUDDENLY went back on their word and gave my place to someone else. I am horrified by how a company can have such a lack of integrity. My advice is to not put your lives at stake with a company with such loose morals.

    • Dear Livdiv,
We are sorry for this negative experience with our company. This situation happens due to high demand. Some guests, who enquired before, came back to us and we couldn’t reject their booking. As mentioned before, we are happy to offer you special conditions for any other cruise with Calico Jack to fix this inconvenience.

  2. I have been on Calico Jacks liveaboards twice and just returned from a perfect experience in Cenderawasih. From the first contact enquiries and very smooth booking until the final send off to the airport, these people do an excellent job. The diving organisation aboard is extremely safety conscious and caters to any level of diver so everyone gets a good experience underwater. And the diving in these part of Indonesia is fantastic. The ship itself is amazing: very comfortable cabins, great food and lots of nice places to chill out between dives.

Food is delicious and to top it all off you have a lovely crew who do their utmost to make you happy. I am already looking forward to my third trip with Calico Jack!

  3. Calico Jack made our holiday an unforgettable, once in a lifetime experience in Raja Ampat ! The entire crew was professional and attentive. The boat was kept spotless throughout the entire trip with the crew tirelessly scrubbing the decks and keeping our rooms clean throughout the trip. Adam was a magnificent host, superb storyteller, and an amazing videographer. Dai as our tour director and lead Scuba Diving guide was always upbeat, positive, full of energy, and incredibly knowledgeable about our surroundings at all times. We were kept active throughout the trip with morning and afternoon dives, snorkeling, excursions to private islands, trips using the 2 speed boats, and hikes to the tops of Raja Ampat limestone peaks. Accommodations were lovely with comfortable beds, good working AC, bathrooms, and excellent daily upkeep. Professionally trained chef of Calico Jack provided us with simple, yet very delicious food. Calico Jack’s upper deck is quite spacious with plenty of room to sunbathe and plenty of room to be in the shade. Beyond the amazing crew, the true star of the show is Raja Ampat and it’s magnificent, untouched beauty. This trip had something for everyone to love and cherish thanks to Adam, Dai, and the amazing Calico Jack crew.

  4. Just returned from 10 days on board Calico Jack diving Raja Ampat. Just WOW- what an unforgettable experience. So happy i ticked this bucket list trip with Calico Jack. Absolutely everything was considered. The Diving safe and spectacular- Manys, Sharks , turetles and every dive Gods Aquarium. The crew were amazing and the cook – just wow again – every meal a delight – sadly i put on 3 Kg on the trip :-)
I am already planning my trip for next year – 5 stars and many more for this boat and dive trip
