KLM Sea Safari 8 dive boat review
Exploring Indonesia aboard the 34 meters Sea Safari 8 liveaboard will take you to Raja Ampat and Cenderawasih Bay. Indeed, this traditional Indonesian Phinisi boat, originally built in 2003 is updated yearly and takes divers to the best scuba diving in the country!

Boat Cabins & Layout
The Sea Safari 8 can cater to a maximum of 24 guests, with 12 beautiful en-suite cabins. The vessel has various cabin configurations, thus, offering more flexibility to the divers. Indeed, four of the cabins feature a double bed and are located on the main deck. Each has an en-suite bathroom with hot shower, air-conditioning and television. Furthermore, there is also 4 double-bed cabins on the lower deck, along with 2 twin-shared, 1 triple and 1 quad-shared cabins.

Sea Safari 8’s On-board Facilities
The massive dining room has walls of windows and as it is located at the bow on the main deck, you can enjoy the view! Plus, that’s also where the camera work stations are and there is a TV DVD system for your convenience.

Furthermore, if you head upstairs on the uppe deck, you’ll find a massive lounge area. Indeed, with plenty of cozy couches, a large television and panoramic windows you’ll have plenty of distraction! The salon features a complete entertainment system and media library.
Walk outside and you’ll be happy to find a covered bar area. Again, with couches, tables, the sea breeze and a breathtaking view of Indonesia.

Now, one more set of stairs and you are on the roomy sundeck. There are comfortable, cushioned loungers all over the place. It’s indeed a perfect place to take a nap, sunbathe or contemplate a starry sky at night! Hence, you’ll get a 360 degrees ever changing view of Raja Ampat‘s islets and clear waters from this top deck.

Vessel Layout
The Sea Safari 8 is owned by the Sea Safari Cruises fleets which is also the fleet behind the Cheng Ho. The Sea Safari 8 is much alike the Cheng Ho, they both cater to the same number of divers and are slightly the same size. The biggest sistership is the Sea Safari VII while the smallest is the Sea Safari VI.
The sturdy Sea Safari 8 is based in Sorong and ventures to Raja Ampat and Cenderawasih Bay.

Padang Bai

Menjangan Island
Menjangan Island is famous worldwide for Wall diving with small caverns to explore. The reef and Coral are also great. A very nice wooden wreck from the 19th century: Anker Wreck.
Nusa Penida / Nusa Lembongan
One of the best spots in the world to see the rare Mola Mola and the graceful Manta Rays! Big fishes and action with lots of sharks. Very good Visibility and stunning Coral.
Candidasa
It is all about action! Big pelagic fishes, hunting action in the current, and many Sharks! Regular seeing of Hammerhead Sharks and Mola Mola!
Bali
Diving in Bali is simply amazing as you will see both an incredible array of marine life and plenty of wrecks. Indeed, Bali's underwater world will expose you to meet interesting critters, fishes of all sizes and mantas rays among others! Plus, scuba diving in Bali means being all in for stunning underwater visibility and great opportunities for drift diving. !
